Meet the Pastor
Reverend Beth Perdue
Reverend Beth Perdue was appointed to Forrest City First United Methodist Church in the summer of 2022 and began her ministry there July 1, 2022. She previously served churches in North-East Arkansas.
A native of Arkansas, Rev. Beth attended college in Arkansas, receiving her B.A., in Psychology from Southern Arkansas University and her Masters of Applied Psychology (emphasis: Human Resources) from University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She received her Masters in Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary, Tennessee.
Three things Rev. Beth values about pastoral ministry in The United Methodist Church:
- The “connexion” among clergy for support and learning
- Being present and guiding when a person discerns their calling for service in the church
- The versatility in ways we can serve God through our church, as clergy or laity
It is Beth's personal mission as a pastor to work with the church to create vitality and to make disciples of Jesus Christ by: Embracing a new mission field with a vibrant group of disciples!
